1. Purpose

The present document establishes the general requirements which all external suppliers of Técnica Alcoyana e Industrial Asociado, S.L. (TAIA) must fulfill for the provision of products, materials, processes and services destined to the manufacture of electronic equipment, guaranteeing compliance with contractual, legal and reglementary requirements and a Quality Control System in keeping with standard EN9100. 

The acceptance of an order issued by TAIA implies full acceptance of the present requirements.

2. Requirements applicable to supply

The products, processes and services supplied must comply at all times with:

• The requirements specified in the purchase order.
• The plans, technical specifications, lists of materials (BOM), rules and regulations and applicable documentation.
• The existing legal and regulatory requirements
• The specific requirements established by TAIA’s clients when applicable.
  

 

3. Approval of products, processes and equipment

Whenever required, the supplier must obtain prior approval from TAIA for:

• Products or services supplied
• Special processes
• Manufacturing methods
• Equipment used for manufacture, inspection or testing.
• Changes which might affect product compliance.

 

4. Product release

No product will be considered as having compliance until it has passed the controls established by the supplier and, when appropriate, the controls set out by TAIA or the final client.

The release of the product must be backed up by the corresponding documentation, including compliance certificates, test reports, materials certificates or any other documentation required. 

5. Competence of personnel

The supplier must guarantee that the personnel working on the manufacture, inspection, testing or service provision has the training, experience and competence necessary for performing their functions.

6. Quality Control System

TAIA prioritizes collaboration with suppliers having a Quality Control System already implemented and certified in accordance with international rules and regulations (ISO 9001, EN 9100 or any other applicable equivalent).

TAIA can request documented evidence of the system that has been implemented.

7. Control and monitoring of suppliers

TAIA will carry out periodic monitoring of supplier performance using criteria such as:

• Quality of product supplied.
• Compliance with delivery dates.
• Number and gravity of nonconformities.
• Incident response capacity.
• Level of service provided.

Resulting from this assessment, TAIA can approve, maintain, restrict or disqualify a supplier.

8. Checks carried out in supplier’s installations

TAIA, their clients or the relevant authorities can carry out inspections, checks or validations in the supplier’s installations when contractually established or whenever necessary to guarantee product compliance.

These activities will not exempt the supplier from its responsibility concerning the quality of what is supplied. 

9. Critical items and special requirements

When the order includes critical items, key features or special processes, the supplier must apply additional controls to ensure their correct manufacture, identification and traceability during the whole manufacturing process.

10. Inspection, tests and approval

The supplier must carry out the inspections, checks and tests necessary to guarantee the product’s compliance before dispatch.

Where applicable, appropriate statistical techniques for process control and product approval should be carried out, and the corresponding records kept.

11. Suppliers designated by the client

When TAIA or its client establishes the obligatory use of specific suppliers or supply sources, the supplier must respect this designation without making non-authorized modifications.

12. Control of non-conforming products

The supplier must immediately report any non-conforming product or service which may affect a supply which has been carried out or with delivery pending.

No variation can be accepted without prior written consent from TAIA.

13. Changes

The supplier will inform TAIA beforehand of any change which might affect the product supplied, including amongst others:

• Changes in the manufacturing process.
• Changes in materials.
• Changes in equipment.
• Changes in installations.
• Changes in production location.
• Changes in sub-suppliers.

The implementation of such changes will require the prior approval of TAIA when deemed applicable.

14. Prevention of counterfeit parts

The supplier must implement efficient measures to prevent the acquisition, use or supply of counterfeit parts or parts suspected of being counterfeit.

Likewise, it must guarantee the traceability of the components and acquire them solely from the original manufacturers or authorized distributors, unless there exists express permission from TAIA.

15. Record keeping

The supplier will keep all documentation related to the products supplied during the period set out in the contract or, in its absence, for a minimum of ten years.

The documentation must remain available to TAIA whenever required.

16. Access rights

The supplier will facilitate access to TAIA, its clients and the competent regulatory authorities to:

• The installations related to the supply.
• The applicable processes.
• Manufacturing registers.
• The technical and quality documentation necessary to check on compliance with requirements.

This right can be exercised at any level of the supply chain.

17. Awareness raising

The supplier will guarantee that all its personnel involved in manufacturing or service provision is aware of:

• Its contribution to the compliance of the product or service
• The importance of the security of the product.
• The necessity to maintain ethical and professional behaviour throughout supply-related activities.
  
  

18. Acceptance

The acceptance of any order emitted by TAIA signifies full acceptance of the present general requirements for external suppliers.
